This guide provides recommended settings for configuring the Aleis RFID Reader for livestock RFID scanning applications, including cattle races, sheep handling systems, handheld scanning, and integration with livestock scales.

Purpose
Enables wireless communication between the reader and:

- Bluetooth-enabled data collectors
2. Protocol
Navigation

Recommended Setting
Combined (Tiris/Aleis)
Purpose
Provides compatibility with a broad range of livestock RFID ear tags.
3. Serial Baud Rate
Navigation
MENU → System Setup → Communications → Serial Options → Serial Baud
Recommended Setting
9600
Purpose
Defines communication speed between the RFID reader and connected systems.
4. Bluetooth Configuration Mode

Disables Bluetooth configuration mode during normal operation.
5. Tag Format
