This guide shows you how to connect your Tru-Test XRP2i race scanner via Bluetooth and scan livestock directly into Agrinous.
Connecting Your Tru-Test XRP2i Race Scanner to Agrinous
⚠️ Important: If you have multiple race scanners they must be set up at least 50 metres apart to avoid interference.
Follow these steps to connect your Tru-Test XRP2i race scanner and start scanning directly into Agrinous.
1. Update Your Tablet

Ensure your Apple tablet or phone has the latest software updates installed.
2. Pair the Scanner via Bluetooth

On your tablet/phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth.

Turn on Bluetooth.

Select your scanner (XRP2i) from the list of available devices and connect.

On the race scanner, confirm the Bluetooth light is on to indicate it is connected.
- If not on the race scanner use the menu button and arrows to navigate to Bluetooth 3.Paired Devices
3. Install Datamars DataLink

Download the Datamars DataLink app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).

Open the app and connect to your scanner (e.g., XRP2i).

This ensures your scanner is recognised and can communicate with Agrinous.

4. Open Agrinous and Connect Scanner

Open the Agrinous app.

Log in and select your sale.

Either add a new consignment or select an existing one.

Navigate to the Scan button.

Select Real-Time mode.

From the drop-down list, choose your connected scanner (XRP2i).
5. Start Scanning

Begin scanning tags — they will appear in the scan list on your device.

Save scans to the consignment.

You can now create sale lots directly from your scanned records.
