How to connect an Allflex/Aleis AWR250 Wand, APR250, or APR350

This guide explains how to connect an Allflex/Aleis AWR250 Wand, APR250, or APR350 EID reader to the Agrinous Android app using Agrinous Hub.

Before You Start

Before connecting your reader, ensure that:

  • The reader is fully charged or connected to a power source.
  • Bluetooth is enabled on your Android phone or tablet.
  • The latest versions of the Agrinous app and Agrinous Hub are installed.
Step 1: Configure the Reader

On the AWR250, APR250 or APR350 reader:

  1. Navigate to Setup.
  2. Select Configuration.
  3. Choose Android Preset 1 (Android).
  4. Select Yes to apply the configuration.

The reader is now configured for use with Agrinous on Android.

Step 2: Install and Open Agrinous Hub
  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Download and install Agrinous Hub.
  3. Open Agrinous Hub.

Note: Insert the Google Play Store link to Agrinous Hub here.

Leave Agrinous Hub running in the background while using Agrinous.

Step 3: Pair the Reader with Your Android Device
  1. Open Settings on your Android phone or tablet.
  2. Tap Bluetooth.
  3. Turn Bluetooth On.
  4. Under Available Devices, select your AWR250, APR250, or APR350 reader.
  5. Wait until the device status shows Connected.
Step 4: Connect the Reader in Agrinous Hub
  1. Return to Agrinous Hub.
  2. Select your connected reader from the Scanner drop-down list.
  3. Confirm the reader status shows as Connected.
Step 5: Connect in Agrinous
  1. Open the Agrinous app.
  2. Log in to your account.
  3. From the dashboard, select the sale you want to work in.
  4. Open an existing Consignment or create a new one. If you are using Scan to Lot, open the relevant Sale Lot.
  5. Select Scan.
  6. Choose Real-Time scanning mode.

Agrinous will automatically receive scans from the connected reader through Agrinous Hub.

Step 6: Start Scanning
  1. Begin scanning electronic identification (EID) tags, one tag at a time.
  2. Each scanned tag will appear in the scan list within Agrinous in real time.
  3. Save the scanned records to your consignment or sale lot.
  4. Continue scanning as required and create sale lots directly from your scanned records.
Expected Result

The Allflex/Aleis reader is connected to Agrinous through Agrinous Hub. As each EID tag is scanned, it appears immediately in the Agrinous scan list and can be saved to the selected consignment or sale lot.
