NVD Troubleshooting
Common NVD issues and their solutions.
An NVD saved against the wrong vendor. Reopen the document and change the Owner / Vendor field to the correct consignment, then save. This re-links the file and updates the vendor's PIC and NVD details in one step — you don't need to delete the attachment and re-upload it.
The vendor dropdown shows "No options," even though you know the vendor is in this sale. Three things to check, in order:
- You're on the right agency tab — the Owner / Vendor list only shows consignments for the agency you currently have open, so a vendor sitting under a different agency won't appear here at all.
- Try searching by PIC or NVD number instead of the vendor's name — the search matches all three.
- That vendor's consignment may already have an NVD attached — only one NVD is allowed per consignment, so once one's in place it drops out of the list for any other NVD you try to attach.
A document was uploaded under the wrong agency entirely. Use the eNVD Inbox and Mapping screen rather than deleting and re-uploading — its Agency dropdown lets you move the document to the correct agency, then pick (or add) the vendor from there.
The wrong Document Type was selected (Eg. "Other" instead of "NVD"). Reopen the document and switch Document Type back to NVD — no need to delete and redo it. If NVD is greyed out, that's because this vendor's consignment already has an NVD attachment; check their other attachments for a duplicate before doing anything else.
A PDF is rejected as "file format is not compatible." The NVD upload only accepts JPG, PNG, or GIF, since it's scanned for the vendor and PIC details. If you have a PDF, either convert that page to an image first, or if it just needs to be on file, attach it through the general attachments area instead of the NVD upload.
"Error uploading [file]!" appears, but it goes through on retry. This is usually a brief network hiccup — retrying is the right move and normally clears it.
"Failed to update attachments" appears while reordering photos. This usually means the change couldn't reach the server — check your connection; once you're back online, try the reorder again.
A large file won't upload. Images and documents are limited to 10MB, and video to 100MB — there's no way around this from within the app, so a file over that needs to be compressed first.
