Temporary Businesses

A Temporary Businesses is a Businesses created within a Sale that hasn't yet been resolved. That way the Sale can keep moving when a Buyer or Vendor wasn't already in AgriNous.

Nobody has to stop and build a full business record at the ring. You resolve them post-Sale, so your Business list stays clean and every buyer ends up with one proper record.

When AgriNous creates one

Entering an unregistered Bidder Number on a Lot A note says a temporary Business will be created with a bidder registration on save. It’s named Temporary Bidder [bidder number] - [sale code].

Typing a new name creates a Temporary Business only if your organisation has had Temporary Businesses rolled out to it. Without it, you get a regular Business. The unknown vendor on a consignment, and Businesses created through an import or the Businesses screen, are never Temporary.

The Sale’s own list counts only Temporary Businesses actually used in the Sale, on a Lot, Consignment, split, Sundry, bid, Pen or Nomination. Ones created but never used don’t need resolving.

External agent and sell via external agent sales show Temporary Business warnings on their Overview.
