This guide explains how to connect your Tru-Test XRP2i Race Scanner to the Agrinous iOS app using Bluetooth.
Before You StartBefore connecting your scanner, ensure that:
- The XRP2i Race Scanner is fully charged or connected to a power source.
- The EID reader panel is securely connected to the XRP2i unit.
- Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone or iPad.
- The latest version of the Agrinous app is installed.
Step 1: Configure the XRP2i Scanner
On the XRP2i scanner, verify the following settings:

Step 2: Connect the Scanner in Agrinous
- Open the Agrinous app.
- Log in to your account.
- From the dashboard, select the sale you want to work in.
- Open an existing Consignment or create a new one. If you are using Scan to Lot, open the relevant Sale Lot.
- Select Scan.
- Choose Real-Time scanning mode.
- Select XRP2i from the scanner drop-down list.
Note: After selecting the scanner, the XRP2i display will show "Screen Locked". This is normal while Agrinous configures the scanner's tag format and establishes the Bluetooth connection.
When the connection is complete, the Bluetooth indicator on the XRP2i will illuminate blue, confirming the scanner is connected and ready to use.
Step 3: Start Scanning
- Begin scanning electronic identification (EID) tags, one tag at a time.
- Each scanned tag will appear in the scan list within Agrinous in real time.
- Save the scanned records to your consignment or sale lot.
- Continue scanning as required and create sale lots directly from your scanned records.
Expected Result
The XRP2i is connected to Agrinous with a solid blue Bluetooth indicator. As each EID tag is scanned, it appears immediately in the scan list and can be saved to the selected consignment or sale lot.
